2022 Shanghai Symposium on Global Finance

SDRF and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Shanghai Representative Office co-hosted the "2022 Shanghai Symposium on Global Finance - Global Economy and Finance under Multiple Stresses" on November 15, 2022.
At present, the global economy is facing multiple pressures, the geopolitical situation continues to deteriorate, the negative impact of the Russia-Ukraine war is continuing to expand, and the spread of the new crown epidemic has not been effectively stopped. The United States and Europe are facing unprecedented high inflation in history. The developing countries is facing the difficulties of currency depreciation and capital outflow. Under such circumstances, can the downward trend of the global economy be effectively curbed? Can economic globalization continue to develop? Can the global industrial chain continue to be sound? Can China's economy recover quickly? These were the topics discussed in the symposium.
