2021 Shanghai Symposium on Global Finance

Shanghai Development Research Foundation and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Shanghai Representative Office co-hosted the "2021 Shanghai Symposium on Global Finance - The Global Economy and Finance with Great Uncertainties" on November 23, 2021.

John Lipsky, former First Deputy Managing Director of IMF and professor at Johns Hopkins University, Sebastian Dullien, Research Director of Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK), Hans-Bockler-Stiftung, and Peter Bofinger, Professor of Monetary and International Economics, Würzburg University, Former Member of the German Council of Economic Experts, made keynote speeches.

Steven Barnett, Senior Resident Representative of IMF, Leslie Maasdorp, Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of New Development Bank, Zuo Xuejin, Researcher of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Xu Mingqi, Vice Chairman of Shanghai International Economic Exchange Center Several well-known experts and scholars, and Xu Qiyuan, researcher and deputy director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, conducted analysis and discussion through a combination of online and offline methods.
